Jimi Hendrix's handwritten love poem, written circa 1969
This is Jimi Hendrix's handwritten love poem, written circa 1969 on a sheet of Cumberland Hotel (London) stationary in red ink. Jimi Hendrix has written, "she said she comes from ice land...I told her I was from the west - she took me to the snow capped mountains - and then she put me through the test - we walked across the glacier, the horses stayed behind...and as we laid between the frozen vallies - we kissed for the very first time - and now we're stuck together." This very same manuscript was published in 1993's "Jimi Hendrix - The Lost Writings - Cherokee Mist" compiled by Bill Nitopi. The poem measures 6 x 8.25 and is framed to an overall size of approximately 32 x 18.
Estimate: 12000-14000
